These machines are used to lift bulk materials from one level to another. The bucket elevator works by using an endless belt or chain that rotates between a top and a bottom pulley, the buckets being moved along with it. At the bottom, the buckets pick up the product which flows into the lifting system and at the top, as soon as the buckets go past the head pulley, the product is discharged as the bucket moves back down.
