COMPLETE COAL TRANSHIPMENT PLANT

The system is composed by two cranes of 30 ton each one that feed two hoppers. The product is extracted from each hopper through an extractor belt made in rubber and then is carried to a unique transversal belt that, on its top, has a by-pass that unloads the material on two longitudinal belts that feed a ship-loader. The system is realized in order to load vessels up to 2000t/h of coal. All the mechanical elements of the transport system were built in Italy and then sent to the site where they became active with the help of some Sammi supervisors. In addition to the mechanical section, Sammi company supplied also the electrical and oil hydraulics part.

SOLUTION

the FTSs are non-propelled barges of 11,838 DWT (Bulk Java & Bulk Borneo) and 11,855 DWT (Bulk Sumatra) duly designed to smoothly perform coal transloading operations at Muara Pantai anchorage in Indonesia. The FTSs are equipped with two heavy duty cranes and two swivelling ship-loaders, along with a combination of hoppers and conveyors.

SERVICES

The FTSs are designed with a minimum air draft of 18,5m at max. draft that makes it able to tranship and to guarantee from 2,000 to 2,400 tph from barges to Ocean Going Vessels (OGV’s) up to capesize vessels with max. beam of 45m and max. DWT of 180.000. The systems are environmentally friendly and designed to meet the requirements of international classification societies and according to IMO, MARPOL (SOPEP), IOPP, ISPP, IAPP as well as local regulations and Coeclerici standards. Any coal spillage and pollution are prevented by anti spillage hoppers, spillage free grabs and closed conveyors belts.
